The objectives of this study are to find the types of Adjective Reduplication in
Toba Batak on Poda in the Bibel and to identify the Forms of Adjective
Reduplication in Toba Batak on Poda in the Bibel. This study applies Ramlan’s
(2018) theory, which states that reduplication has four types, namely: (1) full
reduplication, (2) partial reduplication, (3) reduplication with suffix, and (4)
reduplication with phoneme changes and Ramlan (2018) Reduplication forms of
adjective have two forms, namely: (1) reduplication generally does not change the
word class (2) the base form is always the units in found in language use. This
study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collected from Poda in the Bibel.
The results of this study are: there are 3 types of adjective reduplication in Toba
Batak: A Study on Poda in the Bibel, they are (1) 22 Full Adjective
Reduplication, (2) 17 Partial Adective Reduplication with morpheme mar, and (3)
1 Reduplication with Phoneme Changes, then there are 2 forms of Adjective
Reduplication in Toba Batak: A Study on Poda in the Bibel, they are (1) 22
Reduplication Generally Does Not Change the Word Class, and (2) 17 The Base
Form is Always in A Unit found in Language Use.
