The objectives of the study are to find and analyse the personality of main character, Persephone “Percy” Fraser, in Carley Fortune’s novel Every Summer After using a psychoanalytic approach based on Sigmund Freud’s theory of id, ego, and superego (2020). The method used is a qualitative descriptive, data were collected through qualitative content analysis of key passages from the novel that illustrate her emotional impulses, internal conflicts, and moral judgments. The result of the analysis showed that the combined influence of thesee three components instinctual desires, reality and moral strandart played a crucial role in shaping Percy’s actions were not driven by a single factor but were not driven by asingle factor but were instead the outcome of an ongoing negotation among these element. Her intinctual desires often pushed him toward immediate grafitication or emotional responses, while the realities of her enviroment and circumstances imposed practical limitations and consequences.
