Medan, 2024 This research investigates the types of Illocutionary Acts and Meaning within Illocutionary Acts in Deddy Corbuzier's Podcast: "Polisi Pakai Ahli Hipnotis Saat Periksa Jessica." The research method employs a qualitative approach. It confines the focus of analysis to the types and meanings of illocutionary acts in the conversation between Deddy Corbuzier and Otto Hasibuan regarding the Jessica murder case, featured on Deddy Corbuzier's podcast on the YouTube ® channel "Close the Door." The study utilizes the theory proposed by John Searle in 1976. It does not involve conversations with the police but rather focuses on their dialogue concerning the events and anomalies in the case. The findings indicate that within the podcast conversation between Deddy Corbuzier and Otto Hasibuan, various types of illocutionary acts are present. The results encompass five types of illocutionary speech acts: Assertive, Directive, Commissive, Expressive, and Declarative, with each uttered sentence also carrying specific meanings such as word meaning, sentence meaning, and utterance meaning.
