HAPPINESS POTRAYED IN MAJOR CHARACTERS IN AMINATTA FORNA'S NOVEL HAPPINESS

This thesis discusses a novel entitled Happiness, this thesis focuses on the happiness of the two main characters named Jean and Attila. The purpose of this study is to find out how happiness is described through the two main characters and also to find out what factors influence the happiness of the two main characters in the novel happiness. The method used in this thesis is a qualitative descriptive method which describes the analysis in accordance with the descriptions of the results related to the research in this thesis. After doing this research, it was found several factors that influence happiness, namely: social relationships, adaptation, money, society and culture, and positive thinking styles.
